John Saunders is the new chairman of the International Motor Racing Research Center. Saunders, currently President of the International Speedway Corporation, was elected by his fellow IMRRC governing council members at the Center's recent council meeting.

The legendary Nurburgring race track was the site of many of the greatest sports car, formula car, and motorcycle races of the 20th Century.  Predecessor of the current, much shorter, Grand Prix circuit it was completed in 1925. 

The schedule for the fourth annual Michael R. Argetsinger Symposium on International Motor Racing History, presented by the International Motor Sports History Section of the Society of Automotive Historians and the IMRRC.

"RacetoberFest" will take place at the IMRRC Visitor's Center at 610 S. Decatur St., Watkins Glen. Admission is free. Hours will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The highlight of the evening will be the drawing for our 2003 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S raffle car.

Auto racing historians Bill Green and Jim Scaptura welcomed a lifetime friend back to downtown Watkins Glen last week, when “Poison Lil” gently rolled off a trailer and into the International Motor Racing Research Center.
