Visit the Center
Open year-round, the Center charges no admission and has a staff eager to share their passion for racing. We urge visitors to pick up a book, study the displays from our library, archives, model car, and racing art and photography collections, or watch “25 Years at Speed: The Watkins Glen Story with Brock Yates,” a historic film on the early history of racing on the streets of Watkins Glen and our local track in the Center’s theater. Throughout the race season, the Center features a notable race car in a rotating display in our main hall.

Situated in the heart of New York State’s Finger Lakes Region, our location and hours are:

Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The IMRRC will observe federal holidays for 2025 as follows:

- Memorial Day, May 26
- Juneteenth, June 19
- Independence Day, July 4
- Labor Day, September 1
- Indigenous People’s Day, October 13
- Veterans Day, November 11
- Thanksgiving Day, November 27
- Christmas Day, December 25
In addition, we are closed on Black Friday (November 29) and the week of Christmas through New Year’s Day (December 25 to January 1).
The Center will be open on the following Saturdays during race weekends, 10:00AM to 4:00PM:
