The IMRRC collaborated with the South Central Regional Library Council (SCRLC) to digitize almost 700 photographs and 12 reels of 16 mm film. SCRLC provided digitization services through funding from New York State. Both the photographs and films are available to view on the New York Heritage website. The collection includes images from roughly 1955 to 1971. Many famous drivers, such as Roger Penske, Stirling Moss, Graham Hill, and Bruce McLaren are included in the collection. It also features well-known race promoters and dignitaries, such as Cameron and Jean Argetsinger, the couple famous for bringing road racing to Watkins Glen, as well as Richard “Tex” Hopkins, the official starter at many events in Watkins Glen – including the United States Grand Prix.
