WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (October 05, 2026) — On October 15, motorsports enthusiasts and supporters from around the world will gather at the renowned Corning Museum of Glass for the International Motor Racing Research Center’s (IMRRC) sold out 12th Annual Cameron R. Argetsinger Award Gala. Global fashion icon and longtime motorsports enthusiast Tommy Hilfiger will be honored with the prestigious Cameron R. Argetsinger Award for Outstanding Contributions to Motorsports.
The evening will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a cocktail reception sponsored by Welliver, followed by dinner and the award presentation at 7:00 p.m., presented by Chemung Canal Trust Company.
An Evening That Makes a Difference
While the gala celebrates an extraordinary contribution to motorsports, the evening has a larger purpose: raising critical funds to support the International Motor Racing Research Center and its mission to preserve and share the history of motorsports for generations to come.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the IMRRC preserves the people, stories, cars, races, and innovations that have shaped motorsports. The collection spans more than 250,000 photographs, 3,000 videos, 300 hours of film, 6,000 books, 15,000 racing programs, and extensive automotive memorabilia. Through K–12 education, community outreach, digital resources, research services, exhibitions, and public programs, the Center makes this history accessible and engaging for generations to come.
Proceeds from the 2026 Cameron R. Argetsinger Award Gala directly support this work.
Funds raised through the evening help the IMRRC care for and preserve its extensive collections while expanding educational opportunities, increasing public access, strengthening community programming, and ensuring that motorsports history remains accessible to future generations.
