| The International Motor Racing Research Center at Watkins Glen holds approximately 2500 rare and reference books; hundreds of periodical titles; programs; manuscript collections; historic scrapbooks; posters; historic videos, fine art, and many other items relating to motorsport. Individual guides and lists itemize these holdings.
Search our book collection by accessing STARcat, our online catalog A list of our Holdings is available, as are a list of Programs (sorted by title, venue, or date) and of titles in our Video Collection (sorted by title, venue or date). The Book List is under development; it will be a Web searchable database. Rare films are always available for showing.
Abobe Acrobat reader/viewer is need for pdf files. A Note on Collection Development:The Research Center is actively seeking additional documentation to enrich its material holdings. We are always glad to receive rare and reference books, periodicals (especially complete runs and rare titles), programs, prints, films, and posters. We are especially interested in manuscript items such as drivers' diaries; the research notes of motor racing journalists; club, sanctioning body, corporate, and team records; scrapbooks; and other unique items that express the enthusiasm and virtuosity of the people who have shaped motorsport.
